THE DES RÊVES PROJECT

When you come into possession of "Des Rêves" earthenware... You're bringing much more than crockery and kitchen utensils into your home. You'll be helping to create jobs, reviving historic know-how in the heart of a region, and supporting the local economy. You contribute to the rediscovered pride of a village and a region, but also to the national flagship of craftsmanship.

In short, thanks to you, Desvres is back on the map of France's great earthenware manufacturers. You are holding in your hands dozens of hours of manual labor, relearned gestures, patience and self-sacrifice. You hold in your hands a unique piece whose production tools were also manufactured. You are paying tribute to the craftsmen who start again and again, despite failures and the merciless randomness of ceramics. You inspire us to go even further, to identify even more archives, to design beautiful, inspired decors, to imagine ever more pertinent forms.

You welcome the passion of a collective, a crazy gamble and faith in something beyond ourselves. You offer yourself pieces designed to be beautiful, passed on and shared

Our Rouen Decor collection

The creation of this decor was made possible thanks to the benevolence of the Desvres Ceramics Museum, which gave us access to its archives. This is how the Rouen pattern inspired us to launch the first decor in the Des Rêves collection.

Magnified, lightened and showing the heart of a traditional design executed for decades in Desvres, this decor is more topical than ever.

These pieces are handcrafted in our workshop in Desvres. Our earthenware is unique and made in the purest tradition of the Desvres earthenware factories of yesteryear.

All the manufacturing steps are carried out in the workshop using the casting method in plaster moulds.

The decoration is applied piece by piece, by hand and using a transfer technique, just before the third and final firing.
